Attending an Event?

All of our events provide wheelchair accessible viewing. These spaces are not reserved, allowing you to pick the best view available. We have seats on standby for your PA/Carer and if you're bringing friends/family, we are more than happy to seat your guests with you. Contact one of our friendly stewards (dressed in bright blue) and they'll show you to the viewing area.

The University Arena has numerous accessible toilets which are available on both the ground and first floor and are clearly signposted throughout the building.

We’ve also got a fully accessible changing room/toilet on the ground floor which is larger than a standard wheelchair accessible toilet and includes a height-adjustable changing bench, a hoist and room for up to two PAs/carers.

Accessible Changing Facilities

The University recognise that many of our clients with disabilities and their assistants are highly trained and experienced in hoist use, however our equipment may differ from what is normally utilised. An access/egress appraisal will be undertaken for clients, or guests, whose disability necessitates use of a mobile hoist. Staff will complete the form demonstrating due care and sensitivity for the client involved. Hoists available: Invacare Birdie. All hoist users will be issued with the University of Worcester Arena Hoist Usage Policy. To request a copy, please contact the visitors reception via or 01905 544444.
